3 Rocks (also known as 3 Rocks & Coral Gardens) is a shallow reef site in Sosúa Bay, Dominican Republic, reached by a 5–10 minute boat ride from Sosúa Beach. The terrain is a sandy slope starting at 3 m (10 ft), with a maximum depth of around 8.8 m (29 ft), featuring staghorn coral nurseries and large aggregations of garden eels across the sand.
The site is well suited to beginners and first-time divers, with light current, protected conditions, and great visibility year-round. Water temperature stays between 26 and 29°C. Diving at slack tide is recommended.
Marine life at 3 Rocks is varied and reliably present: schools of sergeant majors, butterflyfish, damselfish, trumpetfish, parrotfish, blue tangs, and yellowtail snappers are regularly seen, along with garden eels in the sand and staghorn coral formations. Octopus, moray eels, and sea turtles appear occasionally.
Access is by boat only. The site is appropriate for beginners and snorkelers as well as certified divers looking for a relaxed, shallow dive.
