Anse Dufour is a calm cove in the south-west of Martinique, lined with fishermen's huts and popular for snorkelling. It is the place to go to see Martinique's turtles, in about 6 metres of water.
The seabed is rocky and carpeted with gorgonians, sponges and corals, which shelter bluehead wrasse, blue tang, sergeant majors and stingrays. The water is calm and clear, though currents can vary in places.
