L'Aquarium is a wreck dive in the protected Faa'a lagoon on Tahiti. Maximum depth is just 13 m, there is no current, and visibility is great. The sheltered position means the site is almost always diveable whatever the ocean conditions.
Wrecks: three wrecks lie on the sandy bottom, a Cessna plane at 5 m and two boats, with depths from 5 to 13 m.
The wrecks shelter a community of lagoon fish, including clownfish, parrotfish, triggerfish, lionfish, stonefish and jacks, with the occasional leaf scorpionfish.
It is a good site for first-time and beginner divers, discovery dives and training, and is open to all levels. It is described as a natural reserve in the heart of the lagoon, and it is also snorkelled.
