Aquarium lies off Rivière Noire on the west coast of Mauritius, in the lagoon and reef waters near Flic en Flac, and is typically reached by a short boat ride from shore. Divers here have reported cigar wrasse, Hawaiian convict surgeonfish, zigzag wrasse, and lagoon triggerfish moving over the reef, along with Indo-Pacific rock-boring urchins tucked into the coral structure.
