Arrow Point is a dive site located at the northwestern tip of Santa Catalina Island, approximately 21 miles off the Southern California mainland near Point Vicente. The underwater terrain features a sharp drop-off from the point itself, with rocky structures, ledges, and crevices forming the primary bottom relief.
The site's rocky bottom descends steeply from the point, with the varied structure of ledges and crevices typical of Catalina's northwestern shore. Water temperatures around Catalina Island average in the low-to-mid 60s °F, dipping into the high 50s °F in winter and reaching the low 70s °F in summer. Visibility across Catalina sites generally runs 30–50 feet, with occasional stretches of 60–80 feet or more.
Current can run strong at the point itself, making that area a hazard that divers should approach with care. The strength of the current is a key factor to account for when planning a dive here.
