About this site
Ave Maria Rocks is a dive site off the coast of Praslin, Seychelles, centred on a small island surrounded by a series of huge granite boulders that drop away in vertical walls with swim-throughs.
The terrain forms a labyrinth of protected gullies and bays created by the granite boulder formations, which descend in vertical walls from the island's flanks. Some passages allow swim-throughs between the boulders.
The site is exposed to currents, though there is almost always a calm area within the gullies and bays. Water temperature sits at 29°C, with the best conditions typically found in April/May and October/November.

The protected structure supports a rich fish population. Stingrays, Napoleon wrasse, reef sharks, and sea turtles are all regularly encountered here.
