Barakuda is a single rock that breaks the surface like a pinnacle, with lots of holes, canyons, cracks and gaps beneath it. The depth runs from 10 m to 30 m (33 to 98 ft) or more, and the site is fine for most divers when there is no current.
The dive circles the rock clockwise, from shallow to deep and back to shallow. The shallow passage between the rock and the main coast is home to tiny violet Flabellina nudibranchs, and big groupers sit in the deeper parts.
Moray eels are usually plentiful, so the reef could just as well be called the moray reef, and single barracuda are seen as well.
