Batsata Rock is a rock formation near Smitswinkel Bay, and is counted among the top five reefs of the Cape. The rock comes to within about 6 metres of the surface and drops to around 30 metres.
Dramatic pinnacles and deep gullies shape the scenery, and the rock also offers swim-throughs. Both scuba divers and freedivers use the site, which has a good mix of depth and rock formations and plenty of marine life.
