S/S Belliver is a large steamship wreck located in the Åland archipelago. The wreck was accidentally discovered by the same crew that found the Soviet submarine S-2, and at the time of its discovery it was still largely intact and undisturbed, with artefacts including the ship's compass, bell, course corrector, plates, and the ornate captain's toilet remaining in place on deck. Bunk beds of the crew are visible by looking in through holes in the aft section from outside the wreck.
The wreck is a boat dive, reached by anchoring within roughly 50 metres of a buoy that marks the site. Divers descend and ascend using the buoy line. The S-2 Soviet submarine lies approximately 300 metres away from Belliver.
The wreck sits at depth, with nitrox noted as the gas of choice for divers exploring it — those using enriched air should plan their maximum operating depth carefully before descending to the furthest reaches of the aft section. The site is suited to divers comfortable with wreck penetration, as navigating internal spaces including ropes and cables is part of the dive. Good buoyancy control is an asset inside the hull.
A surface hazard exists at this site: passing vessel traffic has been observed approaching the dive buoy at speed without reducing throttle, posing a risk to divers on ascent and at the surface near the line. Boats anchored at the site should hoist a diver-down flag and be prepared to signal approaching traffic.
