Brimstone Shallows is a reef about two miles offshore from St Kitts, with soft and hard corals and sloping walls on both sides. Dives here run from 15 to 40 metres.
Caribbean grey reef sharks live on the reef and often swim calmly around divers to take a look at them. They are described as non-aggressive.
Schools of creole wrasse, barracuda, turtles, lobsters and eels are also found here. Part of the system, known as The Rock, takes its name from the mooring, which is attached to a huge piece of volcanic rock.
