Bugtong Bato is a reef and wall dive on the north side of Malapascua. A reef slopes gently between 8 and 12 metres and leads to a small wall that drops to 20 meters, where sloping reef continues to 30 meters before a sandy bottom stretches outward. Maximum depth is 30 meters.
The site is known for macro life, including seahorses, frogfishes and nudibranchs, and it makes a good photo dive. A large school of batfish is resident, and a school of squid often cruises through in the current. The current is usually absent, although it can run at times, and the site suits nitrox divers.
