Chun-Zumbul is a shallow reef dive located at Playa del Carmen, notable for being one of the longest and shallowest dives in the area. The reef runs at a minimum depth of 6 m (20 ft) and a maximum depth of 12 m (40 ft), with a reef bottom throughout. One of the most distinctive features is a coral cavern encountered almost at the end of the dive.
The reef is home to schools of fish and other creatures. Divers can expect a lengthy dive profile given the shallow depths, allowing extended bottom time to explore the reef and reach the coral cavern.
