Church Rock is a large exposed rock off the east end of Catalina Island in California, on the island's back side. Large boulders and rock with crevices form mini walls and swim-throughs, and depths run from about 20 to 70 ft (6 to 21 m).
There is a lot of kelp, and a sandy area at the edge of the reef where halibut are sometimes found. Large calico bass, sheepshead, lobster, rockfish and kelp bass make it a good site for hunters. Bat rays, sea lions and harbor seals are seen from time to time, and the rocks carry plenty of invertebrate life.
