Dega Thila is an unusual reef formation inside the atoll, divided into two parts. Coral heads rise from 30 metres up to 5 metres, and the growth is healthy.
The coral is mainly sponges, soft coral and black coral bushes. These give a home to colourful nudibranchs, frogfish and leaf fish, along with many other creatures, so it is a good site to bring a camera to.
