Dilumacad is a tunnel dive on the seaward side of Dilumacad Island, known as Helicopter Island, in Bacuit Bay near El Nido, Philippines. It is one of the area's best-known adventure dives. A rocky entrance at 12 to 15 m leads into a natural tunnel through the limestone, about 35 m long, which comes out on the far side of the reef.
Light beams come through openings in the tunnel and light up clouds of glassfish and the sponges on the walls. Carrier crabs, banded pipefish and electric clams live here. Outside the exits the reef continues with turtles and fusiliers, and a whale shark has passed by.
The overhead environment demands careful buoyancy control and flashlights are required. It is for experienced divers, with Advanced Open Water certification and 30 or more logged dives.
