Dolphin Dive sits along the rocky coastline of Kalymnos, a limestone island in the Dodecanese group in the South Aegean, close to Kos and the Turkish coast. Kalymnos is better known internationally for its sport climbing than its dive scene, but a small local diving industry has grown around its clear water and steep underwater terrain, with boats running out of Pothia and Myrties to sites along the coast. Divers at this particular site have reported dusky spinefoot and rivulated rabbitfish, both part of the wave of Red Sea species that have spread through the eastern Mediterranean in recent decades.
