El Calamareo is a reef dive site off Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands, and is considered one of the ten best dives the island has to offer. It is part of the Calamareo reef, a kilometre-long wall that hosts up to ten dive sites, with depths ranging between 20 and 40 metres. Large basalt blocks along the wall form canyons, caves and passages that make the dive particularly engaging to navigate.
The terrain is a wall of intermediate difficulty, reaching a maximum depth of 40 metres. The characteristic basalt formations create a varied underwater landscape, with the wall itself offering dramatic vertical relief alongside the cave and canyon structures.
Entry is by boat, as the site sits within a reef system accessed from Corralejo, Fuerteventura. The site is rated low to medium difficulty, making it suitable for intermediate-level divers comfortable with wall diving at depth.
