Gili Meno Wall is a wall dive on the west side of Gili Meno, five minutes by boat. The reef starts at about 5 metres and drops steeply, with a near-vertical top section, to a sandy bottom at around 22 metres. It suits all levels and is a good night dive.
Soft corals grow all along the reef, with smaller heads of cabbage, brain and star coral and lots of anemones before and after the wall. Groupers and sweetlips hang out at the bottom with snappers, angelfish, butterflyfish, clownfish and parrotfish. Moray eels and lionfish shelter in the crevices, and between the two parts of the wall there is a good chance of turtles, mostly hawksbills.
On night dives you find crustaceans, crabs, lobster and reef shrimps, and with luck a Spanish dancer. The current varies a lot, from nothing to one of the strongest in the Gilis. Visibility is regularly 20 metres or more, and drops to about 10 metres after heavy rain.
