Hin Luk Bat is a small rock pinnacle dive site off Koh Chang, Thailand, regarded as one of the island's premier reef dives. The island can be circled in a single dive, and its walls slope down to meet a flat sandy bottom at a maximum depth of around 13.5–15 metres. Large jumbled boulders create a network of canyons and swim-throughs, and the reef offers multiple depth levels from the sandy bottom up to the shallow top of the pinnacle. A typical dive here runs easily to 60 minutes.
Marine life at Hin Luk Bat is varied and abundant. Big schools of Yellowtail Barracuda, Fusiliers, Snappers, and Trevally patrol the surrounding water, while Chevron Barracuda and Great Barracuda appear in smaller groups or alone. Porcupinefish, Filefish, and Emperor Angelfish are regularly seen, along with moray eels, stingrays, and orange-spotted pipefish. Patient divers searching the reef will find nudibranchs, including the White-spotted species, and one side of the reef holds a substantial garden of soft anemones. Titan triggerfish are also present among the large coral boulders.
Visibility at the site ranges from 5 to 20 metres depending on conditions, and diving is best during the season from November through May. The site is rated Easy to Moderate and is accessible to Open Water Diver certification holders, though the canyons and swim-throughs are most suited to more experienced divers. Snorkellers can enjoy good viewing from the surface when visibility is high.
