Ilhéu do Garajau is a small islet off Flores, the westernmost island of the Azores archipelago, in the mid-Atlantic waters of Portugal. Diving here would be organized from the coastal settlements of Flores, off a rugged volcanic coastline shaped by the open ocean swell typical of the outer Azores. Divers have reported Atlantic chub mackerel, blue jack mackerel, skipjack tuna, and Portuguese man o' war around the islet, reflecting the open-water, pelagic character of this exposed stretch of coastline.
