The Javanese Ship Wreck, often called the Japanese wreck, is a small wooden wreck of about 10 m (33 ft), thought to be a fishing boat that came from Java, lying a few metres off the beach in a coral garden in very shallow water. You can reach it by boat or by car and dive straight from the beach, and it is a good snorkelling spot too.
Divers usually go around the corner and drop deeper, to about 25 m (82 ft), with a fair chance of seeing an eagle ray or two. Napoleon wrasse, turtles, striped catfish, stingrays, sea fans and nudibranchs are all seen.
