About this site
Joshua Swash is a reef dive site where the top of the reef sits at around 20 ft (6 m), dropping through gorges and channels down to 60 ft (18.3 m), with a large sandy area at depth broken up by coral rocks that provide shelter for marine life.
The gorges and channels on top of the reef are worth exploring in their own right, as schools of juvenile fish gather there, while the coral rocks scattered across the sandy bottom create hiding places for a variety of species.
Southern Stingrays, Snapper, Grouper, Green Moray eels, and Turtles have all been recorded at this site, with the sandy areas and coral rocks at depth being particularly productive spots for finding them.
