Kahala Barge is a sunken barge wreck off Oahu, Hawaii. It sits in about 95 ft (29 m) of water, with its top deck at roughly 75 to 80 ft (23 to 24 m), and the minimum certification needed is Open Water Diver.
Structure. The barge has a large split in its midsection and can be penetrated by more experienced divers. Inside, large schools of fish hide, and divers can enter the large wheelhouse to look out over the forward deck as the captains once did. On the sides of the wreck the bottom is rocky and covered in schools of sea urchins.
Sharks, schools of rays and larger animals are seen here frequently.
Drift option. When conditions are right, a drift dive from Kahala Barge to Baby Barge, New Barge or the Landing Craft is possible, and the wreck pairs naturally with those neighbouring sites.
