La Calita is a dive site in the La Herradura area of southern Spain, known for accessible diving at relatively shallow depths that reward close-up exploration over the reef. The site is highlighted alongside Marina del Este as a prime location for observing marine life without needing to descend to great depths.
The marine life at La Calita includes seahorses, moray eels, conger eels, octopuses, damselfish, and wrasse. The damselfish are distinctively black, while the wrasse stand out for their vivid colouration, making both species easy to appreciate during a dive.
