Dived here today? How were conditions vs. what we showed?
La Vavi lies in the Society Islands of French Polynesia, in the waters off Tahiti, with dive sites in this part of Polynesia typically reached by boat from island harbors along the surrounding lagoon and outer reef slopes. Divers here have reported Loch's chromodoris nudibranchs and pillow cushion stars on the reef, along with plate and pillar coral formations and small giant clams. Striped surgeonfish and threespot wrasse have also been spotted moving over the coral, with tongue coral noted among the reef growth.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
