Las Cañas is a boat dive at La Graciosa. It is a labyrinth carved into the rock, with passages, caves, towering columns and arches, and several exits that let you explore without feeling trapped.
Depth and terrain run from 6 to 15 m (20 to 49 ft). A stone promontory covered in algae sits above the site, and the caves and arches rest on a sandy bottom. The rocky walls are draped in colourful algae. Light streams in through the cave openings and gives strong backlit effects.
Marine life is easy to find. Schools of anchovies, bogas and grunts hide in the crevices or swim in large compact groups. You will also see gorgonians, groupers, barracudas and black drum fish among the rock.
The dive suits Open Water divers, and access is by boat.
