Mala Afrika is a rocky reef and cave dive site located between the mainland and the Grebeni islands near Dubrovnik, Croatia, reached by a roughly 10-minute boat ride from the city. The site ranges from 32 to 131 feet (approximately 10 to 40 metres) in depth, with a wall bottom type, and is associated with numerous historical shipwrecks that add character to the dive. The cave features multiple openings, giving divers room to explore in different directions.
The site suits divers of all levels, from beginners through to advanced; the depth reached and how far into the cave a diver ventures naturally determines the challenge. The shallow sections and the site's sheltered position between the mainland and the islands support a varied range of marine life. Tuna, octopus, lobsters, and smaller fish are regularly encountered here.
