Manta Point lies in the waters off Nosy Be, an island in the Diana region on the northwest coast of Madagascar, among the scattering of volcanic islets and coral patches reached by boat from harbors around Nosy Be town and nearby smaller islands like Nosy Komba and Nosy Tanikely. Divers here have reported blackspotted rubberlip and longfin bannerfish moving over the reef, along with green sea turtles, Madagascar and skunk anemonefish, and leaf scorpionfish tucked among the coral. Painted spiny lobsters and small giant clams have also been spotted on the bottom, with spiny cushion stars noted across the reef as well.
