Omprogialos Beach is a shore-access dive site located near Chania, on the island of Crete, Greece, roughly ten minutes from the nearest dive centre. The site is characterised by a dramatic rocky coastline that continues underwater, creating a natural reef environment with no wreck or cave structure.
The rocky terrain descends from a shallow entry point of around 6 metres to a maximum depth of 25 metres, with the bottom composed of rock. As divers move deeper, the underwater landscape changes gradually, offering varying textures and natural formations throughout the dive. Sunlight penetrates the clear water readily, producing strong colour and contrast along the rocky surfaces.
Visibility is consistently great, making Omprogialos particularly well suited to underwater photography and relaxed recreational exploration. The waters are calm by Mediterranean standards, and the site is described as appropriate for all diver experience levels, including beginners and certified recreational divers.
