Planka is a cliff (drop-off) dive site in the Adriatic, characterised by a vertical wall covered in cracks and small caves filled with various sea organisms. The diving depth runs from 20 to 40 m along the cliff face, though the wall itself continues down to a maximum of 80 m.
The cliff's crevices and small caves shelter sponges, corals, and sea rods, and the site is also associated with silver bream and white-headed eagles in the surrounding area. Water temperatures range from 6 to 10 °C, and the site can be dived year-round.
The difficulty of diving Planka depends largely on prevailing conditions and currents, but under typical circumstances the site is accessible to both beginners and experienced divers. Technical divers can explore the deeper sections of the wall beyond the recreational range.
