Pleora is a small cape less than ten minutes by boat west of Aghios Nikolaos port on Crete. The dive starts from the wall, and the highlight is two engines from an unknown airplane at 20 to 22 metres.
From there you follow the reef from shallow water to the north-east, straight out to the open sea. The reef starts at 8 metres and gets deeper slowly, reaching a maximum of 40 metres on the deeper side. Groupers, octopus, moray eels and barracuda live here, along with lobsters and tuna, schools of smaller fish, big anemones, spirographs and sponges. It is an easy dive for all divers, including beginners.
