Proselyte is a tabletop reef on Sint Maarten that sits at 5 metres (15 feet) depth, and it is described as one of the most famous dive sites on the island.
In 1801 a British frigate struck the reef and sank here. A couple of large anchors, cannons and other objects can still be seen on the seafloor. The reef is also where the dive at Teigland is often finished.
