Punta Pennello is a rocky shoal off the island of Giannutri, known for its rock walls, caves and natural hollows. The rock face is covered in gorgonians, and the site is rated advanced.
Fish life includes barracuda, scorpionfish, dentex, tuna and amberjack, along with crustaceans. Some of the caves hold freshwater springs, and the deep Grotta della Venere is where sunfish and black coral can be seen at around 90 metres.
Currents often sweep the area, and the site has routes that lead towards Cala Maestra and Punta Ischiaiola.
