About this site

Sa Caleta is a small, sheltered bay located next to the main beach Playa de Lloret in Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava. The bay is approximately 110 metres long and 15 metres wide, with notably clear, turquoise water. Above the site, a castle sits atop the rocks, giving the area a distinctive landmark visible during the dive or snorkel.

The bottom is rocky, with beautiful rock formations, lagoons, and varied underwater terrain. The site is rated for beginners, though divers and snorkellers should be aware that the water gets deep quite quickly from the entry point, which warrants caution when accompanied by young or inexperienced swimmers.

Sa Caleta is known for its colourful fish and anemones among the rocks. Visibility is great, current is light, and the protected exposure keeps conditions calm. The water temperature ranges from 20–25°C, with the best conditions running from June to October.
