San Miguel is a small, very old artificial reef in the Dauin area, built from truck tyres. The tyres are overgrown with soft and hard corals that give many creatures somewhere to hide, and the maximum depth is around 20 metres.
It is an excellent site for a relaxing dive spent looking for critters. Frogfish, ghost pipefish, pipefish and harlequin shrimps are the animals divers go looking for here, and nudibranchs and flamboyant cuttlefish have also been reported.
