The Doors sits along the rocky coastline of Paros, in the Cyclades island group in the South Aegean, and is typically reached by boat from the island's coastal towns. Divers here have reported dusky spinefoot, Indian lionfish, rivulated rabbitfish, and silver puffer moving around the rocky terrain, a mix that reflects the Lessepsian species now spreading through the Aegean. The formation itself follows the reef and point structures common along this stretch of Paros's shoreline.
