Dived here today? How were conditions vs. what we showed?
The Gutters lies off the Gold Coast of southeast Queensland, reached by boat from local marinas such as those at the Seaway, and is rated a beginner dive. Divers there have reported a wide range of species, including nurse sharks resting on the bottom, along with sightings of bull sharks, sand tiger sharks and even great white sharks passing through. Mackerel tuna and the colourful nudibranch Bennett's Hypselodoris have also been reported at the site. The mix of species reported suggests a spot where reef life and larger pelagic visitors can both turn up, though conditions and exact terrain are best confirmed with a local operator before diving.
