The Landing Craft lies in Loch Fyne, the long sea loch cutting into Argyll and Bute on the west coast of Scotland, where sheltered waters and shingle or mud banks make for easy shore entries favoured by local dive clubs. Divers at this site have reported common hermit crabs, common sea stars, European edible sea urchins, European green crabs, ascidians, sealoch anemones, and spiny starfish among the life on the bottom. The name points to some kind of sunken landing craft structure, though conditions and depth at the site are not part of the recorded detail.
