The Tri-Bird is a plane wreck off White Beach on Boracay in the Philippines. A small Yakovlev 40 passenger jet, known as a Tri-Bird, was sunk here in March 2012 by the local dive operators as a new attraction.
The plane lies upside down with its landing wheels pointing toward the surface. The dive starts at 20 m (66 ft) and reaches 27 m (89 ft), and it takes about 8 to 10 minutes by boat to reach. Visibility in this area is generally good, so you get a clear look at the wreck.
The openings let you enter and exit the plane, but penetration is only for divers with wreck specialty training. The site requires Advanced Open Water certification.
