The US Army Tanks site consists of two Vietnam-era M-60 US Army tanks deployed as artificial reef structures, lying to the southeast of the Radio Tower pyramids off Miami Beach. The tanks sit at a maximum depth of 14 metres (approximately 45 feet) on a wreck bottom and form part of a broader artificial reef complex in the area.
The terrain around the tanks is part of a drift corridor that also includes several shipwrecks and barges, making the tanks a stop within a larger underwater landscape of artificial structures. The site is rated for beginners, reflecting the modest depth and straightforward conditions typical of the area.
Marine life on and around the tanks includes lobsters, spiny oysters, sponges, and invertebrates, with fish also present around the structure.
