The Vietnamese Wreck is a small wreck in the Perhentian Islands, lying at around 24 m. It has become an artificial reef, with an encrusted exterior that holds macro life. Strong currents are common, so it is best suited to advanced divers, and the drift off the wreck is part of the appeal.
Barracuda, groupers and snapper gather here, and turtles and reef sharks are sometimes seen. Batfish, fusiliers and juvenile barracuda school around the structure, while scorpionfish and cleaner shrimps live on it. Seahorses and the blue-ring octopus are possible finds. The best season runs March to October, with water around 27 to 30 C.
