The Wildcat is a single-seat Royal Navy fighter aircraft resting at 52 m (170 ft) in Le Lavandou Bay, east of La Fourmigue, off the southern French coast. It was reportedly thrown overboard from an aircraft carrier around 1956 or 1957 following irreparable damage. The wreck lies upside down and in two overlapping pieces on the bottom.
