Windy Point Park is a lake dive site on Lake Travis in Central Texas, and it ranks among the area's best known dive spots. Fire rescue and underwater rescue teams use it locally for training.
The lake bed holds boat wrecks and metal sculptures of a scuba diver, a sea turtle, a shark and a manatee, along with some small boats, a larger sailboat and a Pinto car. Six platforms are set up for instructors to use in training. Divers with advanced training can drop down a deep underwater canyon wall to depths well over 100 feet (30 metres), where the temperature can be 30 degrees different from the surface, so warm clothing matters.
