Dive bookings FAQ
How do dive bookings work on DiveConnect?
Choose a location, select a provider or listing, pick a date, and pay securely. Each checkout books one date, so to book more than one date, check out once per date. You will receive confirmation and any next steps by email.
What currency will I be charged in?
You are charged in the listing’s native currency. Stripe shows a USD equivalent in the dashboard but your card statement shows the native amount converted by your bank.
What happens when I book?
Your booking is confirmed at checkout, and the card payment shown there is what you pay today. The shop will contact you about anything else you need before your dive.
Who am I paying?
The dive shop is the seller of your dive. Checkout shows exactly what you are charged online, including DiveConnect’s own booking fee, before you pay. Taxes or local fees collected by the shop or a local authority are shown separately.
How do refunds work?
If the shop cancels, including for weather, you are refunded in full automatically. If you cancel 7 or more days before your dive, what you paid through DiveConnect is refunded in full. Closer than 7 days, DiveConnect’s booking fee can be taken as 90-day booking credit, and for a booking you paid in full, the shop’s share is refunded according to the shop’s cancellation policy. You cannot cancel online on the day of your dive (in the shop’s time zone); message the shop instead. Refunds go back to your original card.
