Cressi Leonardo setup guide
Single-button wrist computer (Air, Nitrox up to 50% O2, Gauge). Very common rental. Leonardo 2.0 is a different model with its own manual; this guide is for the original Leonardo only.

Water type (salt/fresh)
Not available on this computer
There is no salt/fresh setting: depth is calibrated for sea water, and in fresh water the shown depth is about 3% lower (page 74).
Dive mode (Air / Nitrox / Gauge)
Factory setting is DIVE AIR (page 29). The manual only describes switching GAGE on; it gives no separate steps for switching it off.
Air or Nitrox is chosen by the oxygen setting: 21% means DIVE AIR, any other value switches on DIVE NITROX (see the Nitrox section).
Manual p. 36For depth-gauge-only use, press the button until GAGE appears.
PressButton (single central button)
Manual p. 29Press and hold the button until OFF flashes.
HoldButton (single central button)
Manual p. 29Press the button so it shows ON. After a few seconds a beep confirms that GAGE is active.
PressButton (single central button)
Manual p. 29Warning: after a dive in GAGE mode the computer does no decompression calculations for the next 48 hours. Do not give it to a diver who needs a computer.
Manual p. 28Before each dive, check on the PRE DIVE screen whether GAGE is shown; it only appears there when GAGE is set.
Manual p. 13
Nitrox O₂% and ppO₂ limit
Factory values: PO2 1.4 bar and 21% O2 (pages 17-18). The mix can be changed during a surface interval only after the first 2 minutes (page 21).
Press the button until DIVE-S appears, then press and hold to enter. The PO2 value flashes.

Manual p. 17To set O2 %: enter DIVE-S again, press once so FO2 flashes, then press and hold to select it.
PressButton (single central button)HoldButton (single central button)
Manual p. 18Press the button to change the O2 % (21% to 50%, steps of 1%). Wait a few seconds for the beep and automatic return.
PressButton (single central button)
Manual p. 18Check the maximum depth on the PRE DIVE screen; it changes with the PO2 and O2 % you set.
Manual p. 13, 17The O2 % does not reset by itself. It stays at the last value until you change it, so check it before every dive.
Manual p. 21

Audible alarms (depth / time)
Not available on this computer
The manual describes no user-set depth or dive-time alarms and no sound on/off option; the built-in audible alarms cover ascent rate, PO2 limit, CNS oxygen, and decompression warnings (pages 41-54).
Reading the log after a dive
Stores the last 60 dives or 70 hours (page 61).
On the surface, press the button until LOG appears. The latest dive is shown.

Manual p. 61-62Page 2 shows start time, gas (AIR or FO2/NITROX), water temperature and safety factor. The display returns after about 20 seconds.
Manual p. 61-62
Battery
Look at the battery icon on the PRE DIVE screen.
Manual p. 13If only one segment of the battery icon is lit, do not use the computer. If it appears during a dive, end the dive.
Manual p. 16Replace the CR2430 3 V battery whenever the low-battery symbol shows. The battery cover opens with a coin.
Manual p. 71, 74Do not change the battery while desaturation is running: it erases nitrogen data, time and date. Set time and date again afterwards.
Manual p. 71
