1000 Rocks lies in Meemu Atoll, one of the less frequently dived atolls of the Maldives, situated in the central part of the archipelago along the Indian Ocean. Meemu remains far quieter for diving traffic than the northern or southern atolls closer to Male, with sites typically reached by liveaboard or small local operations.
