1st Cathedral

First Cathedral lies off the south coast of Lanai in the Hawaiian Islands, near the Manele Bay area where boats depart to reach the island's dive sites. It is known for its lava tube and archway formations that create a cathedral-like chamber, with light filtering through openings in the rock overhead. Divers commonly move through the interior swim-throughs before exiting into open water along the surrounding reef. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 18.3 metres and is rated a beginner dive, though conditions can include surge depending on swell.
