Anse Cochon lies along the west coast of Saint Lucia, a bay reached from shore or by short boat trips from towns like Soufriere and Castries. This part of the island's leeward Caribbean coastline is sheltered by the landmass from the open Atlantic swell, giving the reef here relatively calm conditions. Divers have reported sea turtles and squid around the site.
