About this site
Abu Makadi Middle offers vibrant coral gardens teeming with anthias, butterflyfish, and moray eels. The sloping reef transitions to a sandy plateau at 18 meters, where stingrays and garden eels are common. Strong currents attract pelagics like barracuda and trevally. Visibility often exceeds 30 meters, with warm water year-round. The site suits all skill levels, with shallow areas for beginners and deeper sections for advanced divers. Night dives reveal octopuses and crustaceans. The reef's healthy hard and soft corals create a stunning backdrop. Boat access is easy from Safaga.
