Adang Corner

Adang Corner lies off Ko Adang, the large forested island that shelters Koh Lipe in the Adang-Rawi archipelago of Satun province, close to the Thai-Malaysian sea border. It is a coral corner where the reef turns and the current wraps around the point, one of the cluster of sites dived from Koh Lipe in the far south of Thailand. The reef along the corner is built on hard coral and holds a scatter of giant clams among the bommies, with anemonefish in their anemones and reef fish working the slope. Eagle rays are seen gliding past the point where the current bends around it. Because the corner sits where the water accelerates, it can carry a decent current, so it is generally treated as a more advanced dive and, like its neighbours, is best in the calm post-monsoon season.
